JOURNAL CLUB
A partial list of the journals routinely reviewed includes:

American Journal of Psychiatry
Archives of General Psychiatry
Biological Psychiatry
Journal of Affective Disorders
American Journal of Geriatric Psychiatry
Journal of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
British Journal of Psychiatry
Psychological Medicine
Acta Psychiatrica Scandinavica
Journal of Clinical Psychiatry
New England Journal of Medicine
JAMA, and several others

The Journal Club was created several years ago for the purpose of providing PCSD clinicians with a periodic forum for discussion of clinical research of recent publication in the leading psychiatric journals in the USA and Europe.

Members of the club are assigned papers for which they serve as discussants at monthly meetings around dinner. Typically, 8-12 papers are reviewed at each session. The discussions and exchange of ideas stress the usefulness and applicability of the newly gained information to day-to-day patient care.

CLINICIAN EDUCATIONAL CONFERENCE
* Now in its fifth consecutive year, this day-long educational activity consists of presentations made by several of our own clinicians on a variety of subjects including one invited "keynote" speaker. Invited speakers are leaders in their areas of expertise and most have direct research experience through their academic work at major US universities.
